Swedish Wafers - Emma Salstrom

1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
3 eggs beaten until thick (use 2 eggs if extra large)
1 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla
ground pecans or walnuts

Cream the butter and add sugar gradually. Add the well-beaten eggs and vanilla. Then add the flour. Drop by small teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with ground pecans or walnuts. There is no baking powder or soda in this recipe and so the cookies will spread out. Put only 6 on a sheet. Bake at 375-400 degrees and watch carefully. They are done when brown on the edges and golden in the center.
