Chocolate Drop Cookies - Darlene Hofer Pearson

3 ½ cups flour
1 tsp. soda
½ - ¾ cup cocoa
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup nuts (optional)
2 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour with soda, salt and cocoa. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add flour mixture and milk, alternately beating after each addition. Add chopped nuts and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
