Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies - Marian Danielson Pearson

1 cup oleo (2 sticks)
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
¾ cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 T hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 cups quick oats
1 cup chocolate chips, use more if desired

Cream oleo and sugars, add eggs, water and vanilla and beat well. Stir in flour, soda and salt. Add oats and chocolate chips and mix well. Drop onto ungreased baking sheet and bake until golden brown at 350-375 degrees.
