Fruit Coffee Cake - Marian Danielson Pearson

Cream:
1 cup margarine
1 ¾ cups sugar

Add:
4 eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each
1 tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. almond flavoring (optional)
3 cups flour
½ tsp. salt
1 ½ tsp. baking powder

Take one cup of batter out and put the rest in a greased jelly roll pan. Drop 1 can of pie filling over and spread around. Drop remainder of batter on top in small bits. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
