1 cup seeded raisins
1 cup water
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup oleo
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups oats
Simmer raisins in 1 cup water for 1 minute. Drain liquid and save. Set aside both raisins and liquid to cool. Cream oleo, shortening and sugar in large bowl. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Combine dry ingredients in small bowl. Alternately add raisin liquid and dry ingredients. Fold in raisins. Cover bowl and let stand for 1 hour. Drop on sheets and bake at 350 degrees.
