This recipe originally came from Mary Jo Petersen
1 stick oleo or butter
1 cup granulated sugar
4 eggs, beat well after each egg
1 large can Hershey’s chocolate syrup
1 cup flour, alternate chocolate and flour
½ cup chopped nuts, optional
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream margarine, add sugar, beat in eggs. Alternate syrup and flour. Bake in greased 11 x 15 sheet pan at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Check after 20 minutes. It will not look done, but remove from oven.
ICING--Boil for 30 seconds stirring constantly:
1 ½ cups sugar
6 T oleo
6 T milk
Add 1 cup (6 oz.) chocolate chips.
Beat well and spread on warm brownies.
